Watching the Magpies

Robbie and Dolly are brother and sister who have shared a home for years but now face an uncertain future. Dolly looks after Robbie, who suffers from dementia and other health issues. Against their will, their home has been sold for redevelopment, and while the council is supposed to rehouse them, they’re still waiting. When Mr. Deacon from the council arrives, it’s revealed that although a place is available for Robbie, no home can accommodate both of them. Dolly, determined to keep her promise to Robbie to never leave him, faces aheartbreaking decision

This play was top class. It opened up the whole world but many of us probably had not felt so much about before. The actors we're not acting but were living their parts. Every detail was well worked out. An enjoyable and thought provoking experience.

Powerful performances from the cast - highly charged. Directed with confidence & sensitivity. Fabulous theatre - well done Gaelach Gorm. 5 stars.

Such a powerful performance, but then the two main characters are no stranger to the stage. He displayed the characteristics of a person with Dementia very very well, he surely done his research very well. The theatre is a credit to the community of that small village, well done to all involved.
